Flyover - "Staged but Unscripted" One of my top three photographs I've ever taken — not just for the technical challenge, but for the pure, unscripted magic it holds. Captured in St. Barths beneath the heart-stopping descent into Gustaf III Airport, this image features my sister standing just below a Twin Otter as it makes its famously steep and dangerous nose-dive approach. Though the scene was staged and took countless attempts to perfect, the moment itself was anything but planned. The expression on her face — caught between awe and instinct — came as the plane dropped lower than expected, its wake lifting the wind and nearly her hat with it. That subtle, fleeting reach for her hat is real. It’s the kind of image that reminds me why I fell in love with photography: the chase, the timing, the impossible blend of preparation and spontaneity. This photo is a breath held in the space between fear and wonder." - I also love airplanes.
